Internet Safety

Eye on Flat Panel MonitorFor those of you who like to view the internet, you have most likely seen many things and have liked what you have seen or heard.

But there are a lot of things that are on the internet that are not always pretty to the ear or sight. Some have used the internet to speak out and say any and everything whether it hurts someone.

I consider this to be selfish and sad because they do not and will not say these things to the person face to face.

Ms. Debra Antney of Mizay Entertainment (also on Love and Hip Hop – Atlanta) has started a foundation called R.I.P (No Reckless Internet Post) to stop cyber bullying.

Her family had recently experienced the death of her son Kayo Redd, brother of rapper Waka Flocka. He could not accept or deal with the things and words that were on the internet about his brother and family, hurtful words from those speaking about things they didn’t know if it were true or not. They kept on and on; and, it drove him to commit suicide.

Internet safety means to think before you post. Your words may be the last words that are heard.

Until next time, remember to love you first, before you ask to be loved.

Talk to you soon.
